Ode to Dello

Meet Dello

So...I'm not sure how or where this originated, but Kaitlyn and I for some reason feel compelled to make "dello" faces every time we take a picture. If only I could add a recording of Kaitlyn saying, "Oh, hello dello!" in her dello voice it might make more sense.

Miss you Krait, I hope you've found someone else to make dello faces with :)

(And I hope you don't mind this last picture, it's my favorite one I have of you)

Christmas Fun

Yay for Christmas! We recently added a second bird ornament to our tree (since this will be our second Christmas as a married couple) and Jeff affectionately named him "Al the Owl." I think he looks good next to our peacock we got last year :)

We also bought cheap felt stockings and puff paint last year but never decorated them, so earlier this month we finally got around to it. I think my reindeer turned out pretty darn good.

This week my family all decorated gingerbread houses, it's definitely my favorite Christmas tradition. Mom let Me, Meg, and Mich make the gingerbread the night before, but with our little baking experience most of the pieces had to be glued back together with frosting the next day. Who knew gingerbread was so tricky? (Or that we're so bad at baking?)(Well...that's not really a surprise...) With Tyler gone it was relatively uneventful, no decapitated santas and red sprinkles this year, darn.

Merry Christmas everyone!

All I want for Christmas...

...is a Bengal Kitten!

Anyone who knows me knows I love cats. I was lucky enough to marry another cat lover, but unfortunately, our landlords don't allow pets, (for reason that are totally understandable). Because we can't have our own little kitty, we often visit Petsmart and play with the cats there or browse KSL and look at the kittens for sale. The other day while we were browsing we came across an ad for a "bengal cat..."

We have to have one.

As you can tell, they are absolutely gorgeous. There are lots of breeds; spotted, marbled, and white to name a few. They are cross bred with a non domesticated cat to achieve the "wild" looking aesthetic. Only real problem is they cost on the high end over $1,000 if you are going to breed them. If you want them just as a pet they usually sell for half that.

Worth it? Definitely. Can we afford it? Not yet :(

But when we can I think we'll probably get a snow lynx.

Sleepy

Second night i've been in the library until close. Usually that doesn't merit a post, but it's the end of the semester, and the library doesn't close until 2 am...

...and my paper still isn't done.

Gotta love them finals!
